Much of the flooding was the result of runoff from higher elevations that flooded out portions of South and North Main Streets, possibly parts of Vans Gray Gum Sole Schodack Landing, and minor flooding along roads throughout southern Rensselaer County. By early evening, flooding had receded so that most of the roads could be re opened.

Several trees had fallen, but Schanck did not know of any that had damaged houses. However, at least one power line was down at 79 Main St.; National Grid was on the scene.
